On the Convention for the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide on December 9, 1948

The President of the Republic

• Taking into account Article 77 of the Constitution,Taking into account the formation of a ministry to compensate for the consequences of the genocide committed against the Armenian people by the Government of Western Armenia on March 21, 2019,
• Considering the reservations made by the United States to this Treaty on May 28, 1951, and the decision under the Genocide Treaty and other reservations,
• Taking into account the statement made by the President of Turkey on April 24, 2019, the deportation of Indigenous Armenians from their homeland, the occupation of Western Armenia and the accession to this Treaty of Turkey on July 31, 1950 regarding
• Taking into account UN Resolution 60/147, the gross violation of international human rights law, and the right to redress and compensation for victims of serious violations of international humanitarian law,
